Interfaith Week  13th – 20th November 2016 

South Lakeland Equality and Diversity Partnership (SLEDP) presents a talk by Monsignor Francis Slattery on Interfaith 

Monsignor Slattery has long been involved in interfaith work in Cumbria. He was the subject of an article to mark his 60 years in the Priesthood “Breaking Open the Word”, in the respected interfaith journal Faith Initiative: Embracing Diversity, Issue 31 (2014) 22. Available online at 

The aims of South Lakeland Equality and Diversity Partnership are:

• Seek to reduce inequality on the grounds of gender, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, rurality and religion/ belief 

• Celebrate diversity and reduce discrimination 

• Improve the life chances and opportunities for people who live, work and visit South Lakeland
