Christian Meditation Cumbria present Father Laurence Freeman OSB

An evening meeting in Cartmell and a day retreat in Penrith

Fr. Laurence Freeman OSB is a Catholic priest and a Benedictine monk of Turvey Abbey in England, a monastery of the Olivetan Congregation. He is the Director of the World Community for Christian Meditation and of its Benedictine oblate community.

He is delivering two sessions:

  1. An Evening Talk

Pools of Silence in a Dry Land

Friday September 30th 2016  6:30pm to 8:00pm

Cartmel Priory, Cartmel Cumbria LA11 6QD

At this meeting he will introduce the way of meditation and a period of practice.

Cost: £10 donation suggested. Booking would help us gauge numbers

2.  A Day Retreat

How small groups and centres offer hope to our troubled times

Saturday October 1st 2016  Start: 10:30am for 11:am  Finish: 4:00 pm

Ullswater Suite The Stoneybeck Inn and Conference Centre,  Bowscar, Penrith,

Cumbria, CA11 8RP (Stoneybeck is about 1 mile east of M6 Junction 41)

Bus 104 between Carlisle and Penrith stops outside

At this meeting he will introduce the way of meditation with periods of practice.

Cost: £20 (£10 low wage) Coffee and light lunch included

Booking is essential
